A Very Nice Looking Pan From Near the Source!
May 5, 2012
We have been exploring and following up reports of alluvial gold deposits flowing westward from the mountains onto the coastal plane of Ecuador. It seems that almost every river we test, leaves a very interesting quantity of gold in the pan.
We finally came across a medium size river in a medium size town (I am not at liberty to say the name) that showed real promise. Every pan showed a commercial grade of gold. For me, a commercial grade of alluvial gold works out to more than 1/4 gram per cubic meter. I have a system whereby I count the pieces of gold in the pan and divide them up by size. The resulting calculation is extremely accurate when determining gms./m3.
The further up the river we went, the more the results became quite heart pounding. Eventually, by the nature of the terrain, it was very easy to see that a rich hard rock source was not very far away. At this time, I can not really say anymore. Once this property is completely tied up, I will be able to fill you in on the details.
