Happy to hear from you about Ecuador
by CHESTER KENDRA
I just want to say that as a prospective new resident to Ecuador that hearing from you and having my imagination rekindled could not have come at a better time.
Right now I am working in the central Yukon at a large open pit copper mine. In a few months I,ll be retiring and was considering where to plant my feet. I'm a restless soul with many adventures behind me, not all of them successful but interesting and educational.
Gold prospecting and small scale gold production is something I have enjoyed in the past and would like to pick up again. I understand that the cost of living is quite reasonable in Ecuador and it has been at the top of my list for some time.
I have a friend down there right now and am anxiously waiting for her return to pick her brain to determine the affordability/opportunity dynamic to see if I can fit in and possibly get a hobby/small gold production claim happening.
My pension while not large should cover my living expenses but I need to do things. What about diving? Have some experience there. Maybe partnering up with someone working a gold dredge? Diving for treasure? I need lots of info so please keep the emails coming.
Thank You Very Much, CHESTER KENDRA
