Hi Stan, I am curious what the Egyptian-looking artifact is made of: some kind of metal? Also any information about the area it was found in and what it was found with would be interesting. I continue to find the Andes fascinating and full of mysteries that need to be unveiled. I hope the best for your research and expeditions. --Richard
Stan's response: The artifact seems to be carved into some type of hard stone. It was found at a site where we find artifacts from at least 3 different ancient cultures. It seems to be a strategic location near a river junction, not far from the old Inca Trail. It was discovered recently by a neighbor who was plowing his land for agriculture.
