Gold Mining All Around El Dorado

Part 1 - The Background

I began studying the gold mining history of Ecuador and Peru about 25 years ago. Being a very curious, gold-loving, ex-private investigator, I put my whole heart and soul into this project. Eventually, I collected more than 500 copies of gold mining-related letters, maps and documents spanning the period of 1525 to 1946.

When the dust settled, I knew more about the gold mining history of Ecuador and Peru than perhaps 95% of all historians in the world. I knew where all of the old mining camps were, I knew how much gold was produced from each camp, I knew how the gold was produced and I knew where the gold came from.

Just for fun, type 2 words into the Google search engine. Type in: GOLD ECUADOR. See what the first result on the page is? Please click on and read that web page to get a bit of an idea about some of my gold prospecting history in Ecuador.

About 12 years ago I met a very interesting guy by the name of Keith Barron. He purchased a copy of my e-book, Ancient Spanish Documents. Keith is a PhD geologist and had been studying the mining history of Ecuador too. Eventually, Keith and I arrived at the same conclusion, which is...

"Southern Ecuador and Northern Peru is the
actual site of the historical and real EL DORADO!"

This Rare Jesuit Map Reveals
Each and Every Site of Old El Dorado

This is exactly where the Incas mined their fabulous and famous accumulation of gold. And this is also where the Jesuits mined their gold too. In fact, the Jesuits took a very small percentage of their gold production and built a church in Quito, Ecuador called La Compania. In the church, you can see 7 tons of gold displayed on the walls and ceiling. It is a spectacular sight.

La Compania - Quito, Ecuador

After our initial meeting, Doctor Keith went on to discover a very important gold deposit in Southern Ecuador, right in the heart of Old El Dorado. He discovered more than 13,000,000 ounces of gold. He claimed it, explored it and sold it to Kinross Gold Corp. for more than $1,000,000,000. Yes, that is billion with a "B".

One of my closest friends managed the Aurelian operation from an office in Quito, Ecuador. I frequently visited the office to take a look at the most recent drill cores that were coming from the mountain. They were spectacular. Every core contained an abundance of visible gold. I had never seen such rich cores in my entire life.

I asked my friend if he had done any panning in the brooks and streams that drain this mountain of gold. He looked around the office to the left and then to the right. He pressed his finger to his lips for me to shut up and then told me to come into his private office. Once he had closed the door behind us, he spoke to me in a very hushed tone.

He said, "Stan, as you know, Aurelian is a public company traded on the Toronto stock exchange. Investors in public companies normally do not like alluvial gold projects due to security concerns. I have been warned by Keith," he continued, "to not say a word to anyone about alluvial gold on our concessions."

I replied, "I know, I have heard that many times on stock exchanges. But that is ridiculous! Alluvial gold can be mined and produced with excellent security measures."

My friend broke a grin and said, "Yes, I agree with you, but I swore to my bosses that I wouldn’t utter a word about this to anyone."

I repeated myself, "Look, you and I have been good friends for many years. I promise I won't say a thing about this to anyone. But you have to tell me. Have you panned the brooks and streams that drain the mountain?"

Now my friend's grin grew into a big smile as he explained, "I have never seen so much gold in my pan before! Those streams are incredibly rich. The gold has been eroding from those veins for probably millions of years and almost nobody even knows about it. It is a bonanza, but Aurelian will never touch it."

To make an interesting and long story quite short, there are 2 particular streams that carry untold quantities of gold from the mountain. These 2 streams come together to create a river. Let’s call this the River X, just for right now. This river will be a very important part of my story for you. I will tell you more about it soon.

River X Flowing From the Mountain of Gold

Part 2 - The Gold Project Owner Appears Unexpectedly

Several weeks ago I was working on one of my projects at home when an unexpected email arrived. It was from the gold project owner. The gold project owner asked if he could fly in to Quito to meet with me. He didn’t say what he wanted. I agreed as I always do with new people who want to come visit me. The gold project owner presented me with a new and unique mining concept that I had never heard of before. It is brilliant. It provides an opportunity for a small group of people to all work together in a mutually supportive way, yet independently.

The gold project owner went on to explain to me how he has personally spent more than $200,000 in the last six months getting everything for the project in order. Here is only a partial list of what he has already prepared and organized for our group:

  • The gold project owner found one of the best gold mining properties I have ever seen. It is rich in gold. The gravels are clean and easy to work - no clay and no big boulders! He has already made a deal with the legal concession owner and has subdivided it into 10 different 2-hectare parcels. This was the biggest step of all, believe me!

  • Nice, Clean, Rich Gravel

  • Mining Equipment Sources close to the project – excavators, wash plants, etc.
  • Immigration Lawyers – 1 year renewable visa and bank account,
  • Operational Supplies – food, fuel, parts, repairs, hardware, etc.,
  • Bilingual Management – learning Spanish is helpful but not essential,
  • Legal & Government – all levels of government requirements handled by the general manager,
  • Medical Care – 2 good hospitals within 45 minutes of our site,
  • Housing – long term arrangements already made with small, local hotels,
  • Transportation – regular transportation in and out of the site,
  • Secure Gold Sales/Smelting – you may regularly liquidate whatever portion of your gold you wish,
  • Security - round the clock protection for you, your equipment and your gold,
  • Communications – you will receive 2 cell phones and a radio. Internet access is provided too,
  • Other Professionals – accountants, dentists, pharmacists, etc.
  • Logistics & Problem Resolution – management is available 24/7 for any necessary support,

The gold project owner showed me a complete and comprehensive turn-key gold mining system, the likes of which I have never personally enjoyed, nor have ever seen before. I have never really shared with you much about my own experience of coming to Ecuador to go gold mining many years ago.

Here is a brief breakdown of how it went for me:

First of all - Three years of preliminary research to decide on Ecuador over other possible countries.

Nine visits in four years to Ecuador trying to do the following:

  • Discover the best way to travel around the country,
  • Learn the language,
  • Find the best place to mine,
  • Figure out the mining laws and find the best lawyers,
  • Figure out the immigration laws,
  • Meet the right people who could help and support me,
  • Find out where to buy books, maps, equipment, supplies, etc.
  • Figure out how to quickly and illegally import my suction dredge,
  • Learn how and where to lease heavy equipment,
  • Learn how to financially qualify to lease heavy equipment,
  • This list goes on for miles!

Wouldn’t it have been great if someone had already done all of this for me? Just think of all of the time and the small fortune that I could have saved. For me, this would have been a dream come true.

Years ago, once I finally figured out that I could not possibly set up a decent mine on my own, I set about looking for a partner or investor. It took me four more years to find Hampton Court Resources who agreed to take over my best discovery and pay me a small 3% royalty for my many years of efforts and my more than $75,000 spent.

Then it took Hampton Court Resources five more years and about $8 million dollars to properly explore my site before even getting into production. At that point, I finally began to see a return on my investment. You don’t need a calculator to see and understand what I went through, trying to figure it all out on my own.

And that is why I am so excited today. The gold project owner has already done all of the “heavy lifting” for people like you and me. All you have to do is show up and check it out for yourself. If you like what you see, you step up to the plate and turn the key. Your production should repay your costs and fees within two or three months. The rest is gravy. All of the details will be in the Free Information Package that you have signed up to receive around the middle of October or so.

Part 3 – Where is this rich gold mining site located? Why is it so rich?

The location of our gold mining project is closely related to the location of the Lost City of Logrono. Please allow me to share my initial introduction to this "lost city" with you.

The Secret Riches of Ancient Logrono

One day, about 20 years ago, while visiting with a prominent law firm that specialized in mining law here in Quito, the senior partner remarked to me, "Stan, did you know we have several very important and historical lost cities in Ecuador?"

I replied, "I didn’t know that. What can you tell me about them?"

He said, "Nobody really knows for sure where they are today, but they were important centers of Jesuit gold mining activity in the 1500’s." He continued, "It is speculated that these were sites where the Incas mined a lot of their gold in ancient times too. The names of the two cities are Sevilla de Oro and Logrono."

Logrono Was Totally Destroyed in 1599

I asked him, "Where can I find more information about these lost cities? I would love to go search for them and see what I find."

His response was less than helpful, "I don’t really know what to tell you about finding more details. Perhaps if you can find some old books or documents, or maybe a historian could help."

That conversation played over and over in my mind for many years to follow. As the years wore on and I went about studying the history of mining in Ecuador in depth, I began to come across the names of those two cities more and more.

Finally, after so many years of research and study, it was actually quite easy when the day came for me to visit and pinpoint the ruins of these two "lost cities" in person. Interestingly, the local Natives at both of these sites know that there are ancient ruins nearby, but they have no clue about their historical importance.

Information About Ancient Logrono Easily Found
on the Internet in Modern Times

In the book, The Rivers Ran East by Leonard Clark (see Google Books for a free read), Leonard purchased an old secret map revealing the locations of the Seven Lost Cities of El Dorado. Logrono was one of the lost cities marked on the map. Leonard went on to acquire a small fortune in alluvial gold from several of the sites in Peru. The book is a great read and very inspirational for gold prospectors.

However, from my studies, I have uncovered more than a dozen important Jesuit sites where, literally, many tons of alluvial gold was mined in the 1500’s. From the hundreds of copies of documents and maps that I have accumulated, it is clear that Logrono was either one of the richest, or perhaps, the very richest site of them all!

Somehow, almost miraculously, the gold project owner was able to convince the nearby community of Shuar Natives to allow a small group of us to enter into their territory and set up a maximum of 10 small gold mining operations. As you can see in this photo, the Natives do not normally welcome miners, oilmen, loggers, or even tourists into their territory. This is truly a unique opportunity. We will be mining a virgin location near the confluence of two rich rivers.

Sign Prominently Displayed at the Entrance to Shuar Territory

Our project site is located right near where the gold-rich River X (see the photo in Part 2) flows into another larger, gold-rich river. We are literally surrounded by alluvial gold in one of the very richest alluvial gold sites in all of South America.

In a couple of days I will give you more details of what will be included in the Free Information Package. The Information Package is due to be released this coming weekend. Included in the Package are the details of a Due Diligence Tour that has been arranged for serious candidates for our project.

Site inspections will begin at the end of this month. They will be conducted on an individual basis, so you can come down at your earliest convenience. If you are seriously interested in this project, you may want to call your travel agent soon and begin scoping out possible travel dates.

You will have an opportunity to fully roam, inspect and test pan the available mini-concession parcels. You can choose the one you want. You will be able to see our test site where we have already run substantial volumes with an excavator and wash plant. Further, the tour includes a visit to famous Cuenca, the world-renowned retirement capital of South America where our immigration lawyers are headquartered.

The trip will be interesting, informative and adventurous. You will have the opportunity to acquire all of the details you need to make a final, informed decision as to if this project is for you or not.

Please feel free to continue posting your questions and comments in our Forum at the bottom of this page.

Part 5 - Here's The Deal... Summarized for You

I would like to summarize and simplify the opportunity that is being offered with our El Dorado Alluvial Gold Mining Project. There have been many questions this last week, some of them repeated several times. So I would like to offer a simplified version of what this opportunity is all about.

I want to begin by saying that the following statements are my own and have not been reviewed, nor approved by anyone. Please do your own math. Please do not assume that I have done my math properly. If there are any problems or inaccuracies in the following, it is completely my own fault. That said, I have tried to be as accurate and transparent as I possibly can here.

**********************

First of all, the project owner, has successfully located and legally acquired access to a gold mining concession that is very unique and rare. Why is it rare?

1. It is "extremely rich". I am still not allowed to say just how rich it is, but it will surpass a reasonable expectation. Usually, properties this rich are too remote or illegal to mine.

2. It is accessible. You can actually sleep in a clean and comfortable hotel, eat a great breakfast and arrive at your mine site in less than a half hour from when you leave home in the morning.

3. There are no large boulders to contend with. I have mined around boulders more than 3 meters in diameter and it is an awful struggle.

4. No clay problems at all. I have mined where pay gravels were mired in thick clay. We were lucky to recover 50% of the gold that was present.

5. It is a legal concession. There is no fear of the government showing up unannounced and confiscating equipment from an illegal operation.

I have seen prospectors search for years and even decades without coming close to finding a mining property with all of these characteristics.

Second, the price of the sub-license mining fee is only $10,000. This money is held in escrow for 2 months. If you back out of the deal within 2 months for any reason at all, you get your money back! I have never heard of a deal like this in the mining business before. Usually, a guy will sell you a fraudulent, salted mine and then run off with your money the same day you paid him. You’re left high and dry.

Third, In addition to the $10,000 sub-license fee, you need to lease and/or buy your own mining and camp equipment. This will cost you a grand total of less than $40,000. This is your own equipment that you can do whatever you want with if you decide to quit mining at any time.

This equipment includes an excavator lease, a wash plant and pump, a kitchen, bunk house, secure storage, tools, etc. This includes everything you need to run a serious mine. This is all your stuff and is priced about the same as similar equipment anywhere else in the world. This is an equity investment and not a cost.

Now let’s talk about your monthly operation. You pay 20% of your production to the legal concession owner. For that fee, he keeps the road access open and pays for all of the environmental reclamation that is required by the government. These are costs you would normally have to pay out of your own pocket with your own concession. Plus, he's the guy who claimed the area in the first place, bless his heart.

Second, you pay 25% of your production to the mother company for full support services. You probably have never run a gold mine in Ecuador before. I have, so let me please share my experience with you on this topic.

If you run your own gold mine in Ecuador, you have to concern yourself with:

  • vehicles,
  • transportation,
  • fuel,
  • insurance,
  • equipment maintenance,
  • where to acquire necessary equipment from an honest and reputable supplier,
  • which lawyers to work with who won’t rip you off every time you turn around,
  • trustworthy personnel,
  • daily food purchase for crew,
  • parts for equipment,
  • mechanic and repairs,
  • dealing with hundreds of pieces of governmental red tape every month,
  • convenient medical facilities or a doctor on staff,
  • communications – cell phones and radios,
  • logistics and problem solving 24 hours a day,
  • security for yourself and your gold,
  • AND THE LIST KEEPS ON GOING!

  • This list above costs a small fortune in both time and energy to keep organized and functioning. Could you really do all of this yourself in Spanish and still run your mining operation efficiently? These support services are the exact key to your success in this project. This support is what allows you to run more than 250 cubic meters of gold-bearing gravel through your wash plant every day, 6 days a week!

The bottom line is that you pay 45% of your production for everything we have discussed so far. If you were running your own gold mining operation in Ecuador, you would have to be very good and very lucky to keep these expenses under 65% instead of only 45%. I know this because I have seen the numbers for more than a dozen different mining operations in Ecuador, both public and private companies.

Of the remaining 55% of your production, you pay your own daily operating costs, just as you would in any other business. If you keep your costs low, you keep more for yourself. Obviously, there is a point of diminishing returns. You need to incur enough daily expenses to keep your mine running at full capacity.

Let’s say your operating expenses work out to 30% of your gross production (extremely realistic/conservative). That means you would keep 25% as your net profit. I don’t know of many businesses in the world that keep 25% of their gross revenues as a net profit. That is pretty rare and it is pretty awesome.

    **********************

Finally, let’s discuss your production. If you can run 250 cubic meters of gravel through your wash plant each day, that is pretty poor. A good excavator operator can do nearly double that amount, especially with easy, clean gravel. But, to be conservative, let’s leave it at 250 cubic meters per day.

If your gravel contains .5 grams of gold to the cubic meter of gravel on the average, you will produce about 125 grams (4 oz) of gold per day, or more than 3 kilos (100 ounces) of gold per month. At $1,300 per ounce, your gross revenues would be about $130,000 per month. If you could net 25% of that amount, your net profit would be approximately $32,500 for the month.

But, let’s say you had some unexpected expenses and that you only ended up with $25,000 of net profit for the month. If you invested $50,000 in start-up cash originally, you would recoup your entire investment within two months! Have you ever heard of a business opportunity like that before?

What if the price of gold goes up? What if you can produce more volume than 250 cubic meters per day. What if you acquire a second excavator? What if you find a gram or two of gold to the cubic meter as you dig down deeper? Many factors could actually improve your performance in this project.

Please let me know in the Forum if I have made a mistake here. I will correct the error immediately if I have.

    **********************

The other issue I get comments about is the gold project owner's unilateral right to cancel your sub-license agreement whenever and if ever he wants to. It sounds scary at first glance to some people.

But, here is what's up with that...

There are potentially 10 people who will invest money and time in this opportunity. They each stand to make a lot of money. If some idiot comes along and gets stupid drunk or inappropriate with the local Native women (or worse), it could put the entire project in jeopardy for everyone. Would you want to invest your hard-earned money and time in this deal, only to see it go up in flames because of some as@#$%^ that ruined it for you?

The project owner's responsibility is to protect the project for the good of everyone involved. A miner would only lose his sub-license if he is doing something to really screw it up. Robert wants to see everyone succeed in this venture. It is in everyone’s best interest for everyone to succeed.

If you owned one if these sub-licenses, wouldn’t you want to make sure that an inappropriate person is not on site creating problems for the entire group every day? I know that I would want this assurance and control in place.

Questions or comments? Please post them on the Forum.

Due Diligence visits begin just before mid-November. You really should come have a close look at this opportunity. If you don't, you may be kicking yourself when you hear what the average gold production is each month.

Speaking of gold production... come check out the new page of photos and videos. They are just getting ready to fire up a hot new mining operation right on site. The results are bound to get your juices flowing! I'll be updating the page regularly.
