250 Cubic Meters of Gold-Bearing Gravel per Day

Stan, You based the monthly out put on 250 cubic meters excavated daily, on a 6 day work week. This calculates into an area of 54' x 54' x 3' deep to obtain 250 cubic meters. You stated there are no big boulders to work around but what about the terrain? Is it suited for large areas of open pit type mining and seems to me this would also require a dump truck to haul excavated materials to the wash plant.

The tailings would also need to be hauled back to the area where excavated to be used to reclaim the excavated areas. Has this cost for the dump truck and operator been incorporated into the equation for equipment and labor costs? Who is responsible for reclamation costs?

Has there been in drilling done to establish bedrock depth and estimated values? Thanks Wes

Stan's response: Yes, the area is well-suited to an open pit type of mining. You'll be able to work with the project's consultant on a good mining plan that will appropriately deal with the tailings issues. Yes, the cost of moving tailings has all been calculated into the projected costs of the project.

The concession owner is responsible for all restoration of plants and trees in the reclamation plan.

No drilling has been done to establish the depth of bedrock. One geologist's opinion is that it is so deep that we could never reasonably reach it. The estimate is around 100 meters deep.
